A key aspect of my Masters degree is to create content for the Cardiff Met Sport TV social channels be it presenting programmes, creating features or just publicising the course itself. During my time on the course I have been part of many exciting projects and have used my skills to create first class content for my own showreel and the course itself.

As part of the course you are given the opportunity to try a little bit of everything. I have therefore produced live streams, presented the weekly Up the Archer programmes for TV as well as producing and presenting a live radio show (Don't Give A BCUS). Being a journalism student I had previous knowledge of a lot of equipment, but the main aspect of just covering sports was very new to me. I adapted to this quite quickly and pushed myself to become knowledgable about sports I hadn't been interested about in the past.

I was also fortunate enough to be asked to cover the Wales Sports Awards for the University where I had the honour of interviewing Welsh Boxing legend Joe Calzaghe along with many other welsh sporting stars and heroes.

One challenge that stands out was the production of a live radio show from home. Because of the Covid-19 pandemic we were asked to produce a 30 minute radio show called Don't Give a BUCS. I volunteered to be producer to challenge myself and I am very pleased with how it turned out. As this was the first show to go out on air under the conditions we did have a few technical issues but I am pleased that myself and four fellow students managed to get the show out .
