I started with EatSleep Media in January of 2021. Since I started as a videographer I have not only developed my videography skills but, I've also developed a better understanding of the media industry.

The role of videographer I feel is very vague, the work I have completed during my time with ESM is more than just picking up a camera, shooting the content, editing it and publishing it. It is far more than that, it includes communicating with the client, working with their branding and making sure the message is clear. Each piece of content I have produced through ESM has had those key aspects.

During the past 7 months I have produced a number of pieces for the FAW Channel, FC Cymru. FC Cymru is an FAW Funded page which focuses on the fans of the Wales International squad and the grassroots clubs around Wales. These pieces vary from fan reactions from games, to events such an all girls training session in Wrexham. During the Euros a group of us travelled around Wales for two weeks, creating, editing and publishing daily content to the FAW channels, showing what clubs around Wales were doing for the Euros.

I also helped produce and direct the FAW Cymru Euro's Squad announcement. This was a challenge ESM had never experienced before, but because of my experience in live streaming I was able to give advise and lead sections of the broadcast. For the live show we worked alongside another production company called Buffoon Media, this was a cross organisation project.

Not only have I produced video content, I have also produced an 8 episode Radio Show / Podcast called 'Running Punks' which was broadcast live on Union Jack Radio. The show was recorded on the run with presenters Jimmy Watkins and Rhodri Morgan who invited a different guest each week.

I also produced a short radio documentary 'Jenna Preece - Our World'. The documentary gives you an insight into the the world of people who identify as disabled and the challenges they face in day to day life.

It's not all about the big names though, I have also worked on a live TV show called 'Pitch BTCC' which is broadcast on a new channel 'Sportystuff'. Pitch BTCC gives you behind the scenes access to race weekend of one of the UK's most popular motorsports. Get to know the drivers and see what goes on off the track.

I learnt more than ever whilst at ESM and I value the work and people there a lot. I decided to leave EatSleep Media to become a freelance Sports Broadcaster.
