Sporting Ferret

During Covid-19 the sporting world came to a holt. I therefore decided it would be best to spend my time developing my skills in social media production. I saw an opportunity to this through a small up and coming website called Sporting Ferret. They advertised the opportunity to become a social media intern. Following applying for the role I was given the responsibility of Social Media lead for Twitter.

This opportunity has given me the chance to develop my skills in team management, social media production, post planning, and also content creation. With the website being an outside body there are no rights surrounding images which has made the content variety difficult but I have tried to work around that ensuring myself and my fellow contributors post a number of different articles covering different sports throughout the day. To ensure no bias is included we retweet content from overarching bodies such as 'The Premier League', 'Sky Sports' etc. This ensures we are not showing bias to one individual club or event for that matter.

This has been a great learning opportunity and has helped me develop a new skill set.
